February Youth Exchange Weekend
Sponsored by the Hilliard Rotary Club

This weekend is mandatory for students (all) AND parents (outbounds only). The parents will need to be there from 9 AM to 2 PM for the travel briefing sessions.

All Outbounds, parents, inbounds, and rebounds to Arrive at the Hilliard YMCA at 8:45, a.m., to drop off luggage.

Only Outbound students and parents to then proceed to the Hilliard Senior Center at 3800 Veterans Memorial Dr. in Hilliard. (614) 334-2581

Only Inbound and Rebound students to proceed to the Columbus Zoo

Only Outbound Students and Parents:
9:00 AM Registration and measuring for Rotary blazers.

9:45 Program (TS24 and the District Committee)

12:00 PM Lunch (provided by the Hilliard Rotary club)

1:00 Program

2:00 PM: Parents and district committee transports all outbounds to Wendy’s Chili Open at the Columbus Zoo to meet up with inbounds and rebounds for volunteer work. Parents are encouraged to come and have fun and enjoy good food at the Chili Open ($25 per ticket, kids 12 and under are free, includes full access to the zoo).  

2: 30-7:00 PM: Volunteer work at the Wendy’s Chili Open together with inbounds and rebounds

Only Inbound and rebound students:
8:45 AM drop of luggage at Hilliard YMCA, then proceed to the Columbus Zoo

10 am – 7:00 PM: Volunteer at Wendy’s Chili Open at the Columbus Zoo. Lunch provided by the 30+ Chili Open restaurants

Everybody

7:00 PM: Back to the Hilliard YMCA (car pooling and help from Rotarians. No parents needed)
8:00 pm – 1:30 AM: Swimming, playing, relaxing, and YE training (remember to bring your Power point presentations!)

1:30 go to bed

8:15 continental breakfast

9:00 Pickup

What to bring:

• Warm shoes and clothes for volunteering at the Chili Open (you might be standing outside for a while!)
• Personal items
• Sleeping bag, mattress & pillow
• Warm pajamas or sweats to sleep in
• Playing cards or other games
• Gym clothes and swim suit
• Change of clothes for the next day
